Value for Money:
A small pub with new, very friendy and enthusiastic licensees. Perfectly kept Casque Mark beers(according to my husband) Harveys, London Pride and guest ales.An excellent chef, serving a selection of real home cooked food, freshly cooked to order with proper fresh vegetables.(nice to see mashed potato and dauphine potatoes). Sensible sized menu of 12 main dishes plus salads and a good choice of sandwiches. Portions are generous and presentation is professional. The lambs liver and bacon with onion gravy was superb as was the steak and ale pie and also the beer battered cod and chips. Pub has a proper restaurant area as well as dining in the bar. Also a very pleasant garden with plenty of seating. All round good value for money.
