We have eaten at this lovely pub regularly for the past seven months, since moving to the area. There are usually three members of our party but we have had as many as 10. Every meal we have had we have thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are extremely pleasant, one and all, and the food is consistantly good. The atmosphere is always friendly and this has a lot to do with the licencees (Dave and Drew).

Value for Money:
My wife and i called today for lunch (reccomended by a couple on the High St) took a bit of finding as we are not local but really glad we took the trouble its an idilic setting & a lovely pub serving excellent food. We both had the sunday Roast my beef melted in the mouth with a homemade yorky not aunt bessies, wounderfull crisp & fluffy roast potatotes cooked in goose fat and four fresh vegetables. this we followed with scrummy home made marmale bread & butter pudding all for £12.75 each. Lucky i wasnt driving because the choise of local real ales was brilliant at only £2.30 a pint im used to paying over £3 in my Cheshire local.
